It’s true we only live once, but every day we get another chance to become better men. The man of yesterday does not have to be the man of today.

This is not to suggest we can completely disconnect from our past or the core traits of who we are.
Our past will always be a part of our story, and we all have certain enduring quirks that will remain throughout our lifetime.
When I retire, I will probably still be an introvert.
At the same time, every day we get to grow and become a better version of ourselves. Every day we get to die to our past and let new life emerge in us and through us.
If you have been working a dead-end job for years, you get another chance. Today you can start doing work that matters.
If you have neglected your wife and allowed your marriage to deteriorate, you get another chance. Today you can start becoming the man who brings strength and joy into his marriage.
If you have been playing it safe with your sexuality, fearing you might misuse it, you also get another chance. Today you can grow in confidence, affirming and celebrating the sexual man God created you to be.
God has woven an abundance of grace into our stories.
We are not doomed to keep doing the same thing, nor does our past have to have the final word in our story.
He gives us another chance every day to become respected men of strength – men capable of bringing more life and goodness into the world.
Don’t let stubborn pride hold you back.
Embrace the grace of another chance and become all that God has for you.
