Much of life is lived on autopilot. Without much thought, our habits dress us, feed us, and get us to work each day. While habits can serve us well, we must not sleepwalk through life. We must live woke.

Each day we are faced with thousands of decisions. It would be overwhelming if we had to consciously think about each one.
Habits allow us to navigate life without being burden down by every choice.
We can focus on more important things when we don’t have to worry about each literal step we take, how to brush our teeth, or how to get home from work each day.
In this sense, habits are our friends. They allow us to live more efficient and productive lives.
The problem comes when habits dominate our life and we rarely make a conscious choice about anything.
We cannot live on purpose or forge meaningful relationships when we merely go through the motions of life and are not fully awake.
We must live woke in order to become all that God has for us.
Maybe it’s time to wake up to the work we are contributing or the relationships we are in. What is our next best choice?
This does not mean we have to change anything, only that we are mindful, aware, and alert to the choices we are making.
And this does give us freedom to change whenever necessary, and also to live grounded.
To live woke is to live in awareness of our true self – the man God created us to be.
This awareness allows us to deeply align our lives with the best version of ourselves and not get lost in our habits.
Don’t sleepwalk through life. Live woke!
