Many question what it means to be a man, and if any good men are left. More than our words, our very lives provide the answers. Come and see is an invitation to be a living example for others.

Maybe we don’t think much about being a role model for manhood. Perhaps due to our own insecurities or the assumption that others are better equipped for this role.
Or maybe we believe it’s not something that can be taught – either one gets it or he doesn’t. And maybe it’s not that important either way.
However, God created us as male and female to reveal something of his divine nature. And as image bearers, gender matters.
Yet while gender is part of our created design, it is still something we have to grow into.
How do we best reflect the image of God as men?
Here is where we need role models – other men who are ahead of us in this journey to show us the way.
We learn from them how to use our strength to bring more life and goodness into the world.
And the deep questions of our heart are answered with their invitation to come and see – allowing us to walk with them through life and see how it’s done.
But this invitation is not just one to receive. There comes a time when we must also invite others – offering our lives as a living example for them to follow.
It’s not enough to merely complain about the lack of masculine virtue around us, or to sit quietly on the sidelines as much harm is done.
We have the responsibility to show a better way. Not by criticizing or demanding, but for our very lives to be salt and light.
What is a good man? And does it even matter?
Live in such a way you can invite others to come and see.
