Too much pain and suffering has come at the hands of lost, shallow, and distracted men.
Our families, communities, and society are all in desperate need of more rooted men – men who have deep purpose, presence, and connection.
Rooted Purpose
Men with rooted purpose do not drift through life lost and without direction. They seek work that matters.
In their own unique strength, these men are committed to making a meaningful contribution and bringing more life and goodness to others.
They see beyond the quick fixes of life and invest in a story much larger than themselves.
Rooted Presence
Men with rooted presence have depth of character. They are not shallow.
These men can be counted on for their integrity and strength. When life gets hard, they do not run. They are able to engage the intense messiness of life.
Their presence provides comfort and security for others, and a passion for life itself.
Rooted Connection
Men with rooted connection intentionally forge meaningful relationships. They do not get so distracted with other life demands that they neglect building lasting bonds with others.
They surround themselves with a few good men who have full access to the backstage of their lives. If married, they love their wives with a sacrificial love, and children are raised surrounded by strength and compassion.
The depth of their connection brings peace, happiness, and fulfillment to all around.
Men who are not rooted leave a lot of hurt and pain in their wake. We check out, compromise, and corrupt. And in the end, God’s best for our families and society is missed.
With few truly rooted men, the lost, shallow, and distracted are the only examples of manhood many see. It is no wonder so many deem masculinity toxic.
However, the answer to toxic masculinity is not trying to sterilize manhood, but rather helping men to get rooted with deep purpose, presence, and connection.
