Merciful Father, how far we have fallen.
You created us in Your image,
But we have tarnished this image as men.
Are we now beyond hope? Restore us again!
We are being raised without fathers.
We kill each other, and even ourselves.
We live hopeless and depressed.
We take advantage of women for our own pleasure,
And abandon our children to be raised by others.
In pride, we focus on our own concerns, and
Take no responsibility for our home or community.
Do not abandon us forever!
Create in us a new heart and
Teach us to bear Your image well.
Let our roots grow deep in You.
Build us up and strengthen our faith.
May we stand firm in our generation,
Giving all the praise to You.
