It’s been quite the year with a few new offerings to share. And so this year’s round up will include a few more highlights beyond my usual Top 10 list.

Unveiling Masculinity Playlist Highlights

First up is move beyond the written word. I started a YouTube Playlist – Unveiling Masculinity, which explores masculinity and the story our bodies tell. Check out a few of the highlights below.

New Devotionals

I also compiled several devotionals to make certain themes in my writing more accessible and shareable with others. This devotional are great for personal reflection offline or in a men’s group with like-hearted others.

Top 10 Post of 2023

  1. Sexual discipline – Much more than merely sin management, sexual discipline frees you and allows your sexual self to be used as a vehicle of love. And much harm, heartache, and grief are the result when this discipline is not in place.
  2. Sexual crucible – Your temptations invite you into a spiritual crucible – an opportunity for your faith to be refined and for you to grow into the fullness of who God has called you to be.
  3. Sexual examen – Your sexual story matters. Thoroughly examine it and discover more of the freedom, passion, and love available.
  4. Sexual esteem – Developing sexual esteem is not merely to feel good about ourselves. It’s part of our stewardship that allows us to grow in confidence and freely use our sexual selves to advance love.
  5. Our Delilah – Remember your desires might not be random even when they don’t make sense. God might use your Delilah to create an opportunity for his glory to be displayed.
  6. Sexual grief -Let your marriage be a playground to explore and incorporate as much of your arousal template as you can. But don’t make an idol out of your preferences and learn to grieve whenever your freedom to love is hindered.
  7. Everyday courage – Courage is not just for moments of physical bravery on behalf of others. It also includes the willingness to fight for all that’s true and good in our everyday life.
  8. Rules of engagement – The game of life requires you to follow the rules. You can’t do whatever you want and still have a meaningful relationship with others. Seek to understand and obey the rules of engagement to enjoy your life and relationships to the full.
  9. Be unshakeable – Grow in emotional maturity – not by denying your emotions, but not letting them run the show either. This allows you to become steadfast and steady, unshakeable in your practice of love.
  10. Aging with humility and grace – It takes maturity to accept aging with humility and grace. But this frees us to continue loving and making an impact for good. Things might look different with age, but we’re still called to make a meaningful difference in each season of life.

Honorable Mention

  • Commingling of souls – The commingling of souls is simply part of the human experience. Be grateful when this flavors your heart with more life and goodness, while guarding against its potential poisoning effects as well.
  • The ministry of beauty – Our souls are quickly famished without beauty, and the world a bit darker. The ministry of beauty is faithfully caring for our own souls, as we also fulfill our duty to bring more life and goodness into the world around us.
  • Benevolent detachment – Stay engaged and present as you address the many concerns of your life and relationships. And remember the wisdom of benevolent detachment – letting go of the need for control as you rest in God’s grace and presence.
