There’s always more we can prepare as we wait for our time to act. But we must also trust that God has given us everything we need for this moment. We’re not called to sit on the sidelines, but to courageously step forward and accomplish all that God has given us to do.

To be sure, there’s wisdom in not rushing ahead unprepared. And we do well to count the cost of our endeavors as we thoughtfully and patiently prepare to meet the challenges before us.

At the same time, we all too often get stuck in waiting and preparing just a little bit more.

Maybe next year things will have settled down and we’ll be in a better position to move forward.

But usually next year arrives and we find another excuse as to why we’re not yet ready to take that next step.

While on the surface it seems like we’re just patiently preparing, just beneath the surface it’s often fear holding us back.

We feel unprepared and don’t want to risk being embarrassed if things don’t turn out as we had hoped.

The healthy side of this fear motivates us to prepare more than enough. But the unhealthy side blocks the free flow of our strength and love.

In the end, God has prepared us for such a time as this and has given us everything we need to accomplish his call for our life today.

While we have a lifetime of growth ahead of us, we also have access to God’s divine power and can start bringing more life and goodness into the world today.

We delay and limit our impact when we believe we don’t have enough to get started.

Take your time to prepare. And remember you have everything you need to start offering the fullness of your strength and love today.
